Why is everyone in this little blog community suddenly so morbid/cynical/pissed off?

Believe it or not that includes the non-duds. Come on people lighten up a little? I've got one more week in front of this PC, before i leave for a week, and I'd rather like to see some sunshine (in a metaphorical sense. In a meteoralogical sense i'd much rather have rain.).

I suppose i can't type, i've had very little utmost joy for a while, and cynism reigns supreme at the moment. Boredom is another thing. I don't know why, but i seem to be rather bored. I'm really qute longing to be amongst the violent street gangs, if just for a little excitement. Hopefully there'll be some fences to paint so I can watch it dry. That would be quite fun. (see; cynism.)

So what is next week? It's moderatly hinted at in my brothers blog and the Blog of the JAJ. Soul in the City. Nope. Not just any old city, THE city. Old london town. the place most odf us inhabit. You know, the cesspool that contains the deeper cesspool of british government. The hive of Capital radio. the place immortalised in that rather optimistic song "London Bridge is falling down due to a terrorist action that probably will be nothing to do with Al-Qaeda, but we'll say it does so we can invade another country." London. And why am I spending a week there? No idea.

I think it runs along the loins of going into these various areas in london, camping there amongst the sirens and smog and going out in groups on various projects and cleaning up the community in the name of Jesus. Yup, religious theme here guys.

Well, once thats done and dusted I'm home for a week. A week in which you can expect to see a blog or two, before i'm off for two weeks to... (brace yourself) SOMERSET!!! The haven of the best regional accent in the country. ONce again, in the name of religion. Fun...fun...fun...

So, cheer up people, and i might too.

yo yo me chicken bled

soul in the city is such an amazing thing, here tell you what lets take the religion out of it for a second

You have got 30,000 people coming to your city for two weeks and are going to be going around brixton and lewisham and orpington and bromley and makeing a change tidying stuff making run down parks and youth centre fit for use again helping people put a smile on kids faces and so many more things

doesn't that sound appealing to you

ok three years ago they sent about 1000 people to manchester and the crime commited from that week onwards and to my knowledge is 5% of what it was before, this guys is the most crime ridden area in the UK and the crime was reduce to nothing in comparison

in a weeks time 30 times that amount will be coming here can you imagine London with no crime? London with a smile on it's face if it takes the satanists to do this isn't that a step forwards if it takes the Jehova's witness'es then i'm well up for that and if it's the christians well obviously as one i'm slightly biased but i feel they are the people who can pull it off, if they get off their asses and do what Jesus told them to do
'everyone knows what the church is against but this summer lets show people what the church is for that teh church is for loving people for helping people for listening to people and that we need to show a genuine love and commitment to the people we meet

i think i've ranted long enuff i might put this on my blog
any way let me end with a joke

what do you do to reduce the crime in an estate in manchester
answer: bring down a thousand christians

hope this was all understood

love

Only a slight reference, I'm sorry I wasn't more blatant on my blog. Soul in the City is a fantastic event, it's not about religion, its about action. Two weeks of helping the community in London, of cleaning up estates, building youth clubs, running programs for young people who may never get to experience the like again, a chance for people in communities to get together and rather than complain about the problems in london to actually see something done about them.

As Chris said, the effects of a similiar event in Manchester had an amazing impact and this one is even bigger. It shouldn't matter what your own 'religious' beliefs are, its about helping your capital city to become a better place!

Ok, so Chris basically said it all but as I haven't been clear enough on my blog I shall say it here...Soul in the City is going to be fantastic it si the 26th of July to the 9th of August and whether you are a Christian or a Muslim or an Atheist or whatever you should let it impact your lives!

So there.
