You may remember me mentioning the Left Behind series of books. Well, it starts with the Rapture (read Revelation. Better than Dante's Peak anyday) and the setting is an airplane. Half of the passengers are taken by Christ, but the pilot, co-pilot and most of the flightcrew are 'left behind' (and so the story goes on. Im relaly annoyed that mum and dad have bought neither book 3 or book 6. DAMN THEM!!!). However, many pilots that were in the air were also taken, sending all the planes in thier care spinning on an uncontrollable descent to thier deaths. While not really focused on that much in the books, I still found this rather amusing when I stumbled upon it :
