Blog_B_Que

I awoke on the morn of Sunday the 3rd of July with a head that was still playing the edited highlights of the Scary Badger show. With a hop and a hey, I hastened to the sanitation chamber and doused myself in water, that the cleanliness factor may have been reached. Then, I clad myself in my Cloth armour of Darkness +1, grabbed my Vorpal Camera, checked my email...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
...then hastened forth to create my party, to begin my quest that would be known throughout the centuries as The Gathering of the Wanderers of the Blogosphere.

I walked towards the south of Bromley, along the way meeting Sir Dave Soul Killer (apparantly), who had requisitioned his father's chariot for our journey. After a speedy ride, we purchased our steam locomotive tickets, and waited at the appointed place for Jonathan of the Davis. He got into a small dispute with a Kobold in line for his ticket, and he was most enraged
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Still, all was sorted out with steel, and he joined us on the platform, as we waited for the arrival of the locomotive and our destiny! We spotted some oddities however, possibly due to some nefarious Dark Sorcerors grip on the fabric of time...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Shoe fuse?! Insanity doth dwell in this place I fear... On the locomotive we met with Dave of the MCMcC, who was being watched by his Guardian Ogre...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
...and also Steve of Sheep, who, in true "I r monk" style had prepared the intoxicating liquor...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Eventually we arrived at the place fate had ordained, West Dulwich. We ventured forth, led by the siren call of Helen B, until indeed we arrived.

[/crappy D&D style of narrative]

Once we got there we met Sarah and Sophie, who were busy attempting to set fire to bags of coal.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Luckily all worked well, and the fire roared heartily. After some time, the final member of the LPBS group arrived
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Lewis there, in all his Ketchup and Sugar eating goodness. Now, with the LPBS group all in place, we were set to prepare for the eventual counter attack by all those JAGS lot, who I could tell would soon vastly outnumber us. The next to arrive was Simon, my first Unknown Wanderer.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
He was closely followed (by about 10 minutes) by Helen, Kirsten (2nd UW) and Fan (3rd UW)
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It seemed all had brought along the companion of appetite, as there was a quick clamouring for the variety of foodstuffs
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
And the next few moments were spent ingesting said nutrition. The LPBS lot were seemingly wrapped in conversation involving those sciency type thingums they all do, and so the conversation was way above my head.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Kirsten suggested to Helen that they counter this by quoting Shakey Spar, but they did not. Which was good, since i like my ears (not that this would eventually matter).
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It was at this point that the next guest was the tunr up. Steve fielded the call on his telephone device of mobile communications, and I and he sauntered down the road to the station to pick up the final final LPBS member, he of the Denne of Olivers
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
He joined into the festivities, and quickly his bringingof Martini was quickly found to be a source of much amusement as it was shown revulsion by both Dave and Lewis. Dave J took to his food swith some high degree of an "aww yeh"ness.

My brother Chris and teh JAJ then entered the whole shebang

However, it was at this point that a redering shriek filled the air. Was there trouble ahead? Had outr hero fallen to his doom? Well, kinda. Helen broke a chair.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
But, she nursed herself back to health quickly, and returned to her place at the side of Fan
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Who is looking rather cool in that picture, but we like him anyway. However, a fight soon broke out, with Helen and Helen tackling Steve for a shoe and a camera respectively
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Despite the fierce resistance steve put up against the two females, he was eventually subdued by some rather unladylike submission tactics

Much of the rest of the day was covered by the enjoyment derived from such wonderful activities as juggling

After a while people sarted to leave, and the reamining few stayd to play a rather hilarious game of winkmurder, which became steadily more enthused as it wore on, to the ppoint I decided to film a round, to show how crazy it had become (only 5MB for anyone who wants). Then, eventually all had left and I,as the dutiful perosn i am stayed behind and watched Sarah and co. clear up, before retiring.

Eppy log!!!

A wondrous day! Fulla cool peeps and old aqcuaintances which made it all the more wondrous, and twas a fablus idea by Sarah

Definitely one for a repeat no?

By the way:

I am alive, just little of interest has really occured. My internet went down for a few days earlier this week, it rained heavily, and I got to the point were I have as many Garfield strips left to read as there are days I've been alive.

Wootage...

HoHum...

...badgers...

Ooh, is that the new heat?!

It must be noted down that today was not exactly the most exhilerating day of my A2 career. While most of the day itself rested in the realms of mild mediocrity there were standout moments that gave this 24 hour period a definite degree of surrealism. Let's just say that a lot of it was to do with my own ineptitude and idiocy. In fact, if i were to be brutally honest with you, I have handled the day with the same flair for ingenuity as a decomposing mollusc.

Mistaken Belief 1
With the nonexistance of a first period, the subsequent lie-in would in fact benefit me no end, allowing my day to be more relaxed and alert, due to the extra time spent in blissful slumber.

The problem with this one is that I failed to remember that a lie in is only as good as the time spent asleep preceeding it. In short, getting up later doesn't work if you dont lay down earlier in the first place

Mistaken Belief 2
A classy outfit for the day would certainly be all black.

I'm still not quite sure what possessed me into this one. I was groping around for suitable clothes with which to cover my naked form, and picked up one of my black shirts. And a black tie. Now, it is an undeniable fact that I look kickass in black. In a very Maddox sense, in black I beleive that I indeed rule major amounts and look pretty damn spiffy at the same time, although unlike maddox I haven't irritated grandmothers, feminists or the human race; nor am I a pirate, which would rule intensely. Maybe it was me deluding myself that I wanted, nay, needed to look good on this particular Wednesday. Maybe I was still finding it difficult to actually open my eyes and see what I was doing. Or maybe I temporarily forgot all the physics lessons Tyler spent drilling the fact that black radiates heat into my head. Heck, he even said that wearing black clothes on a hot day makes you hotter, but did i care? So today, I wore black and payed insane amounts of hell for it in the comfort factor.
Though, in my own credible defence, I did at least wear light grey socks, so my ankles were kept very comfortable in comparison.

Mistaken Belief 3
A shower in the morning will wash off all grease and dirt from the body, cleansing it and keeping it fresh for the coming productive day.

This one is actually not quite as mindnumbingly stupid as the black suit thing, and may seem to you to not be a mistake, but a lesson in basic hygiene (something I know many of you would like to have words with me about as it is). The reasoning behind the shower was threefold:
  1. Get clean
  2. Get hair clean
  3. Wake up
The second being the important one obviously. However, the problem arose when I remembered that the shower, once complete, leaves the body completely clean and devoid of dirt, and as such a paragon of cleanliness. As such, like Eden, the perfection can only be sullied by more dirt. Now, we have already established that the day was hot, and as such the body will invariably perspire in order to keep itself cool. What I end up with then is MORE grease to replace that which I have just cleaned off. Grease, left in the heat (such as the sun) boils VERY hot.
At least my hair looked good. Style over comfort.
Oh, and if you thought the graphic images of me naked and/or greasy were disturbing, then don't read the above paragraph.

Mistaken Belief 4
The opening sequence to Halloween is scarier when not watched alone

Another mistake. With the addition of nervous 17 year old females it becomes bloody funny.

Mistaken Belief 5
Talking about tennis during a lesson is more fun than talking about football, becuase I actually know some of the people, some of the rules and allows plenty of options to ridicule Henman

I forgot to take into account that tennis is a sport, thus not enjoyable, despite knowing the people, the rules, and how it cannot be, in ANY way "Tim's year"

Mistaken Belief 6
Hot food at midday provides nutrients

True. However, I forgot to remember that hot food is served hot. And on a hot day, in black clothing, it is akin to base jumping naked onto a pavement full of feminists while shouting at them to do the dishes. You ain't gonna live through it, at least not without severe burns.

Mistaken Belief 7
Sleeping in the afternoon will provide more rest, allowing a slight boost in alertness and mood for the day

I forgot the obvious merits of waking up drenched in your own sweat. Which there are none.

Yes, I think thats the heat alright. In other news there was a Channel 4 crew in school filming outside my film room. My corridors gonna be on Tv, maw! Bring on tomorrow...

NB: it actually took me three days to realise the above pun was suitable for this weather and could in fact be used without let or hindrance. What is happening to my brain?

Piggy

My personality pig

Oink :P

I am a realist
I believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)

I am emotional and naive,
I care little for details and are a risk-taker.

I am secure, stubborn, and stick to their ideals.

I drew medium sized ears, I am a good listener

What i dont get is:

The length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life.
And again more is better! You drew medium sized tail

Uuuuuuuuurgh....

Almost every single conversation I've had today has had something in it regarding todays weather. I can smell things burning. The cats have spontaneously combusted. The gas man's hair was set alight. The tap pours out steam instead of water.

Today, my ladyfriends, is far too hot. 32 degrees?! Fuhgeddabout it...

Uuurgh doing anything just seems like too much hassle. I was meant to be going to irritate a couple of people in safeway's today, but I think the walk down there would set me alight.

Why do people LIKE this sort of weather?! "Oh, what a brilliant day! The sun is shining, my arm is burning! Come on, the weather is perfect for lots of physical endurance and exhertion!!!". As Billy Connolly once said, there's no such thing as the wrong kind of weather, theres only the wrong kind of clothes.

Which is a good point. Sitting around in this weather with a heavy coat on is ludicrious (not to mention practically suicidal) and a t-shirt and shorts in the pouring rain is a little silly. But I prefer rain dammit! Everyone gripes about it cos they cant stand getting wet, but I'm sorry getting wet is SO MUCH more preferable to a heavy sunburn. I havent been in the sun for more than 30 minutes in the last 3 days, and I suspect my face, neck and arms are already slightly burnt. 30 minutes!!! What the hell is up with that?!?!? I NEED RAIN TO THRIVE DAMMIT!!!

This rant is probably not doing any good. I have a whole week of this crappy weather.
CLOTHES! When I go back to school I know what I'm gonna be seeing. All the guys, in shirt and tie sitting there sweltering due to crappy clothing restrictions. As for the girls, nooo come in wearing anything comfortable as long as the male teachers arent too distracted by anything sluttish. I aint kidding. We're all going to be wearing this (Jon in a few years there) while the females are gonna be in this and or this. Well, maybe not the second, but you get the idea. Where's the justice?! SUIT! HOT! SWEATING IN THE EXTREMITY GOOD IS NOT! BASTARDS!!! MOTH!

Grr the sun is a demon that must be exterminated! Look how he mocks us!

SEE?! Ooh how i hate that sun. WEll, i guess tis good for, you know, being alive and all that, but he could at least do us a favour and turn himself down a little. Reminds me a lot of this comic. I found another one searching for those clothes pictures. More a collection of amusing drawings than an actual comic strip (yes, i know...) but some were particularly amusing. One even referenced Jon's post about Chav clowns in this little sketchette.

I have nothing to do. Even if i did have something to do, this weather is sapping all enthusiasm I'd have for doing it. I'm not even thinking about going into my room until at least 8 30, because my room most fortunately happens to face the sun in the day. This unfortunatly means I lose the ability to do something vaguely videogame related. Shame as I was kinda inkling to play either FFVII or FFIX. But as it is i'm sitting here, talking to noone on MSN, bloggin random streams of consiouseness or however its spelt, listening to muse and thinking I could go and have another few games of Heli Attack 3...

Which I am acrtualy now playing so I shall sign off. Hope that wasnt too rambly... well..... actually it was wasnt it...

Oh, and for she that is based in the Orkney's, if your temperature is below 20 and you're getting rain, I hate you. I hate you lots.

Night all

Looney Tunes

Oooh that was SUCH a delicious pun for a title!!! Tunes, meaning music and the such like, and of course the Looney Tunes were a CARTOON!!! (sorry, I'm bored ok?)

Which sets us up perfectly for the recollection of last night's shenanigans: A night of musical entertainment at The Cartoon. You get the pun now? Ok... put down the jawbone...

After a merry jaunt into South Croydon to have my teeth poked, I went back to West Wickham only to run into the highstreet looking for Dave. I couldn't see him, until I heard a mysterious voice floating in the wind, calling my name...

...as it happens, it was the Champion of Chris's calling to me from t'chicken shop. After a perilous journey twixt pavements, I met with he and the stalwart meister Dave, wearing another neo-commie shirt that provided much of a giggle. After some chatter, food and me worrying about the state of my hair (i do it a lot) Jamie arrived and after he tucked in, we set of opn the bus to west Croydon and then on to:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
the Cartoon. Not a made up name. Well probably was at some point but you know... so, while the rest set up shop
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Dave and I went and claimed what we came to christen 'The Brainfreeze' corner:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
and perused the nights schedule
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
As it turned out (look at Thu 16th) Linchpin (aka Lynch us or fagpin) weren't there, and the TBC turned out to be all female rocker chick band Femme Fatale.

When indeed the crowd arrived, Femme Fatale were the first up. And to be quite frank weren't half bad. During there sound test I nicked 30 seconds of one of their songs which anyone is welcome to, though thesound quality is crap and you can vaguely hear me at the 13 second mark. Sort of like Amazon track samples. Admittedly at least 2 of their 6 song set were theEXACT same song (or if they weren't, they were bloody similar) but since most of the songs were pretty good it wasnt too bad. Even if they did stop after each song while a techie fixed their hi-hat, and the vocalist really started to piss me off after a while. Ah well.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Femme Fatale there in all their hardcore (snigger) glory.
After that, we moved up front to catch the main act (in my eyes), in the form of Chris, Chapman and Jamie
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Chapman there, complete with bass
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Jamie and the techie still working on the hi-hat
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Chris and guitar
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
And the lot of them.

All in all rating: FANTASTIC. After some minor setbacks in the first song (a broken string and some tuning problems) they moved onto a great rendition of Muse's Hysteria. Each song was great, and my first taste of Brainfreeze shall not be my last. Highlights had to be The Chronicals of Humpty Dumpty, a song that took the nursery rhyme to its ultimate conclusion and seemed to knock Chris out
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
and I Want To See Your Mother In The Bath, which is rather self explanatory. Got some videos if any wants them, though the sound is very dodgy.

After this, the three left the stage and their instruments
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
and allowed Finally Found their slot.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I wasn't really listening to much of it, i was facing some moments of randomness and confusion that kept me up all night for some reason. Still, I left the table long enough to hear their final song, a cover of Stand By Me, which was not good for my state of melancholy.

A good night over all and hopefully one that shall be repeated again.

Fiddy

Just a thought.

"On May 24, 2000, just before Columbia was set to release Power of the Dollar, an assassin attempted to take 50's life on 161st Street in Jamaica, Queens (near where Jam Master Jay would later be fatally shot two and half years later), shooting him nine times with a 9mm pistol while the rapper sat helpless in the passenger seat of a car. One shot pierced his cheek, another his hand, and the seven others his legs and thighs; yet he survived, barely."

As a note to any future attempts on Curtis's life, can we please get a marksmanship course and point the gun here:

Thank you.

Sorry about that, just needed to say that. Quite a few new webcomic have just been put up, more to remind myself that I should check them regularly.
