a thought before bed

Why is it that:

11pm = Late Night
12am = Mid Night
1am = Early Morning

If they're trying to sell 0000 as the middle of the night, why is the time before it later than it? Shouldn't it be:

11pm = Early Night
12am = Midnight
1am = Late Night

Any thoughts? Send your name and your address on your telephone number to the usual place. The comment box.

Rise up against this irrationality! Strip midnight of its false claim to be the end of the day! Give 4.00am the recognition that it deserves as the true start of the day!

Yeah. What he said...

Note to Helen B: 4.00am is not the true start of the day. 4.30am is!

I just want to add to this "midnight" discussion saying that calling 12am "midday" is also untrue as the sun is more often highest just after 2pm.

Can I add a comment about how silly the whole "this Tuesday" and "next Tuesday" is?

If it is Friday, I'm never sure which Tuesday is "this" and which is "next"? It just serves to confuse people.

Stupid time thing. If only internet beats had become popular.

"Ahhh it's almost @500, I must dash."

See they rock!
