Had i blogged yesterday, this would be my fastest post adjacent to the previous post for quite a while. And in fact i think it still is. But what do i know? Well, quite a bit really, i know how some people think it's fun to batter people senseless, or hurt each other in the name of public entertainment, and how channel 4 can allow such a horrific and deplorable concept to become a good show. All of those come under 1 title.
Distraction. One of the few television show i would love to go and see live, or at least see one of Jimmy Carr's stints live.
-
Anyway, to this blog. This blog has niothing to do with Distraction, or even the greatness and comic genious of the man Jimmy Carr, but a different topic altogether. In fact, i don't have a clue why i started this blog with a description of Distraction. I think i was trying to prove a point, but looking back i have no idea what that point may have been. If you think you know, send an email with you name and address on your telephone number (good ol' Python!) to the usual address (the address being on the side of the page, or at least a link to said address) with your answer. The best entry wins a night out with me! Guaranteed to yield either of two results:
1) Thew evening will be so dull and such a pointless waste of your evening that you will die of boredom or develop some sort of manic depressive disorder
-or-
2) You won't email me at all.
I think many people will be opting for the latter...
-
Right, what was i saying...oh yes, the blog. Well, i am bloggin today on a topic that...um... only 2 people who read this will possibly have an inkling of what i'm on about. I won't mention names, because, lets face it, noone else who reads the blog knows who you are. So, (finally) to the point (actually, i've just realised how long it took me to get to the point, which is quite ironic, considering the topic in conjuction with one of the people who know what im talking about...) this blog is about:
MY SUNDAY (which was yesterday)
Well, my sunday ran like this:
1000 - My phone alarm goes a ringedy-ring
1130 - Decide I'd better get up and shut my alarm up
1230 - Have shower, toddle downstairs onto MSN for a bit
1300 - My brother comes home from CCC
1330 - We both leave, bound for CCC
1520(ish, i lose track of time about here) - Come within vicinity of CCC, met 2 people, 1 of whom scares me intensely, and the other was refered to earlier as 'i've just realised how long it took me to get to the point' and for some reason walk through shops to get someones pizza.
1530 - Spend 20 minutes looking for Ukraine on a large map of the world, only to have it pointed out to me within 4 seconds. Also admired the Orkney Isles for a while, only just realising where they were...
1600 ~ 1800 (i think) - Spend the time witnessing some very strange things and cutting out 10 sheets of paper, of which i think about 7 were used. Have my eardrums permanently damaged by the female voices rendition of "In Christ Alone". Realise for about the 500th time that evening how mad this place truely is...
1900 ~ 2040 - Aaah the wondrousness of CCC youth services!!! Highlights included -
Dance Routine, complete with appropriate actions and severely cracking knees
Dramatic performance, which happened to be rather good, but, could not compare with :
-An Interview with a Congregate-
Possibly the absolute highlight of the entire evening. And to keep you in suspense, im not going to tell you why. Why? Because I can't really be bothered to type anymore.
So, um...that was an interesting Sunday, and now for Monday...um... well....yeh...

WOO!!
Im rather happy today. For why? FINALLY we have sound return to this computer. A wire or connection was lost in the amplifier of the system we were previously using, but not to worry!!
A quick jaunt down to Oxfam by y brother yeilded the positive results of :
(brace yourself, its a good one)
2...really...REALLY...REALLY...REALLY low quality speakers.
Still, the low quality more than makes up for the total lack of sound i have experience for an ENTIRE week. And sitting alone in this room fro most of Thursday and Wednesday on the internet and MSN has been utter hell without the music of Muse, Don Davies, Nobuo Uematsu or even Britney to pacify my moods.
-
So, to this blog. Well, im posting for one reason and one reason only. If i see a person before she sees this and berates me for having not blogged, i can hold my head up high, don a really silly (but nonetheless smug) grin, and proclaim, in a proud, steady and happy voice : "YOU WOULD DOUBT ME?! I, MY GOOD WOMAN...HAVE BLOGGED!!" (arm raised in proclamation and granduer. Realise how silly i look and run.)
I've been rehearsing that all day.
Ok, maybe not. The oppertunitymay never present itself, and even if it does, i certaily wouldnt make myself look like that much of a fool knowingly.
So, i had two exams this week, German Listening (Higher Tier) and English Literature (also, suprisingly enough, Founda- i mean, Higher Tier). So, i present these brief reviews of them:
German Listening
Initially, it didnt seem like this exam was going to be much to worry about. I'd done enough revision to know what most of the questions where going to be on, and we'd done a lot of prior preperation in the lessons beforehand, so i was reltively prepared for the format of the exam and the general content of the questions, and how they'd be asked. What i wasn't prepared for however, was what made this examination one of the most torturous i've done :
The acoustics in the school hall
These were, in a word : horrendous (I could have used an obscenity there, but decided against it. Im 16 in a week. Time to grow up methinks.) The echoes bouncing off of the walls of the hall made every sound that came out of the cassette recorder entirely inaudible. Essentially, it was Weebl-ised, at least Weebl as voiced in 'Birthday Wishes'. (If you have no idea who Weebl or his friend Bob is, or do not know about their everyday happenings, you need to get out less.)
So, back to the exam. I couldn't hear a thing, i didnt hear the answers, so i think i failed that one. Ah well, im not doing German by choice, and im not doing it next year for A level. Give me Drama anyday (do i hear the distant voice of David Chandler and Richard Lewis on the wind? What are they saying? Just...through? oh throw...my.....life away. Just THROW my life away eh? Computing dave? and GERMAN Lewis? Ugh, just throw your life away both of you...)
English Literature
Aaaah, pure unadulterated English literary bliss! A whole 105 minute slot of poetry and Of Mice and Men! The Of Mice and Men question presented the easiest 45 minutes of answer writing i had, so i believe i picked up quite a few marks there. I made a bit of a shambles on the poetry question. In retrospect i may have picked the wrong question, but think i scraped enough marks to gain a B or an A.
So, next exam is biology on the 7th, when i am 16 years and 1 day old. Woo... great timing.
Well, thats that blog over and done with. Now to post on another blog...

Look for an episode of the croo. Go on, look i dare you. Cant see it can you? That because I deleted it! YES!! THE CROO IS DEAD!!! MWHAAAHHAHA
Well, not really. In order to give it its own home (which it rightly deservers) it has been moved to its own blog. Linky to the side. I have the plan, when it's finished, to rewrite the entire thing in a more prose-style approach, since the screenplay format, although adequate, is very restrictive.
Hey, you never know, it may even be a film one day. Not impossible, look on blogger.com's news page.
In other news NO MORE SCHOOL!!! Compulsory education has ceased, and now 14 exams await until the summer freedom and on to sixthform. Huzzah!

Today has been a wierd day. First the emergence of one Joe Ghandi, an Ed Feist lookalike that has spawned a whole following of loyal Year 11's sporting his image on great badges!
Also, the counting of the Herbertisms came to a head today with the completion of the Case Study, which will be presented to him tomorrow at 3pm.
Um thats about it. I can't post the next Croo unfortunatley, but i will have time tommorow, i promise!

In my previous post i mentioned the Eurovision song contset. the song in question that won Eurovision was Wild Dances by Ruslana. Imagine the below sung to the tune of a tribal war dance, in a very heavy Russian-esque accent.
Just maybe I’m crazy,
The world spins round and round and round
shi-di-ri-di-duy, shi-di-ri-di-da-na
shi-di-ri-di-duy, shi-di-ri-di-da-na
I want you to want me as I dance
Round and round and round
shi-di-ri-di-duy, shi-di-ri-di-da-na
shi-di-ri-di-duy, shi-di-ri-di-da-na
Forever and ever go, go, go wild dancers!!
Day-na-day-na Wanna be loved
Day-na Gonna take my wild chances
Day-na-day-na Freedom above
Day-na-da-na-da I’m wild ‘n’ dancing
...alternatively I'll send it to you, or you can get it yourself you lazy buggers.
So, in DickyBod News, nothing much has happened. I have my German oral exam in 14 hours, and i have done no preperation for it, I haven't done my cue card for it, and, hey let's face it, i'm not going to do the former. The latter's kind of a nessacity...
Had a very strange MSN conversation earlier, about which i will mention no names, but the perpertrator can rest assured that he/she is in no immediate danger. Though, blackmail purposes... makes me wish i really had saved the convo... Ah well.
Well, i bring news that the next installment of Das Croo will be posted tomorrow, for no reason other than my life is quite a bit less interesting. Ciao
